How to Style with Karst

How to Style with Karst

Whether you prefer bold and colourful tablescapes or a more understated and minimalistic approach, Karst functions as a neutral to pair and bridge different styles for a cohesive look.

Explore our ideas for creating stunning table settings with this dynamic grey-green tone, and pick up tips on how to incorporate it as complementary glaze.

1. Bring the casual elegance of a resort getaway with natural textures

Recreate the mood of a casual resort lunch at home by styling Karst with natural textures like rattan placemats and linen napkins. We like mixing in pieces from our Lanna collection to enhance the mood of an island getaway. Complete the look with different coloured linen napkins to play up the dynamic tones of Karst.

This look is especially suited for wooden tables, where the warm and organic feel of wood serves as the perfect complement to the overall aesthetic.

2. Create a dramatic and eye-catching tablescape with Karst

Planning a big feast? The rich green-grey tones of Karst acts as a grounding focal point in both 2 and even 3-glaze combinations. In this example, we used Karst serveware like the Karst Oval Platter and Karst Flat Dinner Plate to draw focus to communal dishes.

You can also play up the richness of Karst by incorporating jewel-toned glassware such as goblets or tumblers in amethyst, ruby, or emerald. Glassware can be a perfect foil to heavy ceramics and help visually lighten the table.

3. Focus on florals for a lively set-up

If you want to add colour and nature to your dining table without the fuss of fresh flowers, consider styling your Karst dining ware with floral prints. An easy way to enliven the table, these prints harmonise well with the green hues of Karst. The key here is to pick florals in a similar colour palette for a cohesive look.

4. Go bold and sleek with black

When it comes to intimate dinner parties or special occasions that call for a touch of refinement, we like to elevate the greyish green tones of Karst with dark table accents. To add depth and texture, consider playing with contrasting materials. For instance, accessorising with crisp black cotton napkins adds a touch of sophistication, while black linen napkins give a more rustic, organic feel.
